Brașov History Hunt

Welcome! The Brașov History Hunt project gives you an interactive opportunity to discover the most interesting stories and legends of Brașov. Because historical documentation can sometimes be tedious to read when visiting a city, we propose a dynamic urban route through which you will easily learn about important places and people in the city.

This route was conceived by facilitator Andreea Bărgăoanu together with volunteers Sânziana Mariș, Mara Perțea, Laurențiu Buhaiciuc, Corina Georgescu and Maia Neagoe Grecu.

Andreea Bărgăoanu: “I am an illustrator artist, passionate about art history, architecture and travel. Brașov is the city where I was born and I am very happy that I was able to facilitate the concept of a treasure hunt in my hometown. Together with participating volunteers in the
Insert ArtHub Urban project, initiated by the KunSTadt Association, we have come up with the route and model of the Brașov History Hunt, on which we worked over the course of five creative sessions. I hope, after completing the route, people will keep in mind a legend or story about Brașov”.

Before starting the route:
– The Brașov History Hunt route is not a competition, but an interactive historical route with
the purpose of learning something
– There is no limit on the number of people, you can do the trail alone or with friends
– This website will guide you throughout the journey
– You can start from any of the 4 small squares, the route is circular and you will end up
back where you started
– Approximate duration: 2 hours
